Zipora's Story

Zipora Gordon is the Founder of Nishmasi, Educational Consultant at Prime Publishers, Inc, and Director of Ruach Uneshama therapeutic groups. Her most beloved occupation is connecting to her six precious children at home. Zipora grew up with a rich inner world, full of feelings churning just below the surface.

Her life’s work is built on the foundation of her childhood experiences; her mission is to educate children in emotional awareness and expression.

Zipora first learned to connect to the precious truth and innocence of youth in her decade of work as a preschool teacher. After being promoted to curriculum director, she developed an emotional awareness and regulation curriculum used by hundreds of children. 

After leaving teaching and curriculum directing, she accumulated certifications in play therapy, play support, and social-emotional learning. She went on to train at various APT-approved Play Therapy Institutes, as well as earn her Bachelor’s in Human Development from Empire State College.

For over a decade now, Zipora has been perfecting methods that blend emotional expression and regulation with Torah concepts. She believes that all emotional reflection leads to a profound Neshama Connection. Thus, all our materials are based on Torah-true values, and emphasis is placed on developing a deeper relationship with Hashem to generate true inner joy.

As Nishmasi grows and expands, with the goal of reaching 500,000 children, Zipora and the entire Nishmasi team maintain a love and appreciation for each child as a unique individual, a special part of something BIG - our Nishmasi family. As Zipora said to one of her precious clients, “Each one of you is my very favorite!”
